Issue Position

Prisons should be more than mere people warehouses; it should be a real opportunity for redemption and second chances. I believe prison reform should start with early childhood classes in school and at the prison level, instilling a moral compass with sound ethical teachings (right and wrong). Teaching children should include manners, respect for mankind, knowledge of emotions and controlling their God given emotions while taking complete responsibility for actions. Also this morale responsibility teaching should begin in the home, continuing through formal education.
